ECFMG has named Ravinder Mamtani, MBBS, MD, MSc, as Chair of the Advisory Committee for its developing initiative, Global Education in Medicine Exchange (GEMxSM). Currently in pilot phase, GEMx will serve medical schools around the world that offer international exchange opportunities as well as their students who choose to undertake such an exchange as part of their undergraduate medical education.
Dr. Mamtani is an accomplished leader in global and public health, student affairs, curriculum development, and international medical education. He is Professor of Public Health and Associate Dean for Global and Public Health at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, where he also serves as Associate Dean of Admissions.
