Step 2 CS Exam Canceled in Houston, Texas, on Monday, August 28

Due to severe weather conditions in Houston, Texas, the USMLE Step 2 CS exam will not be administered at the Houston test center on Monday, August 28. The Clinical Skills Evaluation Collaboration (CSEC), which administers the Step 2 CS exam, is in the process of contacting affected examinees. If you are scheduled to take Step 2 CS at the Houston test center on Monday, August 28, a member of CSEC’s staff will contact you about rescheduling your exam.

Step 2 CS Exam Cancelled in Houston Today

Due to severe flooding in Houston, the USMLE Step 2 CS exam will not be administered at the Houston test center today, Monday April 18. The Clinical Skills Evaluation Collaboration (CSEC), which administers the Step 2 CS exam, is in the process of contacting affected examinees. If you are scheduled to take Step 2 CS at the Houston test center today, a member of CSEC’s staff will contact you about rescheduling your exam.

At this time, administration of Step 2 CS is expected to resume in Houston tomorrow, April 19. If the status of tomorrow’s exam changes, an update will be posted to this website as soon as possible.

Important Information for International Medical Students and Graduates (IMGs) in Nepal Affected by Earthquake

ECFMG is following events related to the major earthquake that occurred recently in Nepal. We extend our sympathies to all affected by this tragedy. We are also aware of the potential disruptions this situation may cause for IMGs in using ECFMG’s programs and services. These disruptions include, but are not limited to, the inability to schedule and take examinations, and to locate important documents.

UPDATED: Philadelphia Step 2 Clinical Skills Examination Center Closed October 29-30, 2012

Updated October 31, 2012: The Philadelphia test center is now open.

The Clinical Skills Evaluation Collaboration (CSEC) test center in Philadelphia will be closed Monday, October 29 and Tuesday, October 30, 2012 due to weather conditions. All Step 2 Clinical Skills (CS) examinations scheduled at the Philadelphia test center on those dates have been cancelled.

Examinees scheduled to take the Step 2 CS exam at the Philadelphia test center October 29-30 are being contacted via telephone and email. If you were scheduled to take Step 2 CS in Philadelphia on October 29 or 30, please check your voicemail or email for information. CSEC staff will be in contact with affected examinees later in the week concerning make-up examinations.

Please check the USMLE website for updated information about when the Philadelphia test center will be re-opened. We will provide updates as they become available.

We understand the inconvenience that this closure causes and appreciate your patience as we work to accommodate all examinees whose scheduled exams were cancelled due to the storm.
