Residency Tokens for the Electronic Residency Application Service® (ERAS®) 2026 application season are now available through ECFMG’s On-line Applicant Status and Information System (OASIS). You can use a 2026 Token to register at the MyERAS website of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), effective Wednesday, June 25, 2025, and begin work on your residency application.
If you plan to apply for U.S. residency positions that begin in July 2026, visit the ERAS Support Services section of the ECFMG website for important information and instructions on how to obtain an ERAS Token.
Important Note(s):
Some specialties and programs do not participate in ERAS. Before you request an ERAS 2026 Token, make sure you plan to apply to at least one participating program. If you are applying to certain residency specialties, including Emergency Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynecology, please see Support for ResidencyCAS Residency Application Services for information on how ECFMG can support your application.
To be eligible to participate in the National Resident Matching Program® (NRMP®) Main Residency Match® (The Match®), NRMP requires that international medical graduates meet the examination requirements for ECFMG Certification and that their passing results/satisfactory completion of these requirements are available by the NRMP’s Rank Order List Certification deadline. If you need to satisfy the examination requirements for ECFMG Certification and plan to participate in the 2026 Match, you should read the examination requirements carefully before requesting a 2026 ERAS Token. The ERAS Token fee is non-refundable.
