{"id":730,"date":"2012-12-20T18:51:12","date_gmt":"2012-12-20T18:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ecfmg.org\/news\/?p=730"},"modified":"2012-12-20T18:51:12","modified_gmt":"2012-12-20T18:51:12","slug":"application-fee-increases-for-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ecfmg.org\/news\/2012\/12\/20\/application-fee-increases-for-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Application Fee Increases for 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Effective January 1, 2013, the fee for submitting an Application for ECFMG Certification will increase from $50 to $60.<\/p>\n<p>The fees for those applying to ECFMG for USMLE Step 1, Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK), and Step 2 Clinical Skills (CS) will also increase, as described below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The examination fees for USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK will increase from $790 to $820 for each exam registration.<\/li>\n<li>The examination fee for Step 2 CS will increase from $1,375 to $1,440 for each exam registration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new fees will be assessed for all applications submitted to ECFMG on or after January 1, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, it is expected that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prometric.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Prometric<\/a> will increase the Step 1\/Step 2 CK international test delivery surcharges, which apply to applicants who choose a testing region other than the United States\/Canada. ECFMG will post additional information on the increases to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecfmg.org\/fees\/usmle-surcharge.html\" target=\"_blank\">international test delivery surcharges<\/a> to the ECFMG website as it becomes available.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the fees associated with applying for ECFMG Certification and for USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 2 CS, refer to the ECFMG <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecfmg.org\/resources\/publications.html#ib\" target=\"_blank\">2013 <em>Information Booklet<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Effective January 1, 2013, the fee for submitting an Application for ECFMG Certification will increase from $50 to $60.
