The ECFMG <em>Information Booklet<\/em> is the definitive source of information on ECFMG Certification. The USMLE <em>Bulletin of Information<\/em> is the definitive source of information on USMLE. Both publications are required reading for applicants.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for ECFMG Certification, IMGs must satisfy a number of requirements, including the medical science examination requirement, the clinical skills requirement, and the communication skills requirement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMGs who need to meet the medical science examination requirement for ECFMG Certification<\/strong> will be able to use the 2025 USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK materials to apply for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>all available eligibility periods ending in 2024 and<\/li>\n<li>all eligibility periods ending in 2025, beginning with the November 2024-January 2025 eligibility period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>IMGs who need to meet the clinical skills requirement and communication skills requirement for ECFMG Certification <\/strong>must use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecfmg.org\/certification-pathways\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Pathways<\/a>.
