Application Materials for J-1 Sponsorship

Effective January 1, 2010, ECFMG’s J-1 sponsorship application fee will increase from $200 to $250. View full announcement.

Initial Application for ACGME-Accredited Clinical Training Programs
To be submitted for physicians who are not currently sponsored by ECFMG and who will be participating in an ACGME-accredited clinical training program.

Continuation Application for ACGME-Accredited Clinical Training Programs
To be submitted for physicians who are already being sponsored by ECFMG and will continue to participate in an ACGME-accredited program either at the same institution or at a different host site.

Chief Residency Application
To be submitted for physicians who will be undertaking a Chief Residency year.

Non-Standard Applications
To be submitted for physicians who will be participating in subspecialties and/or training pathways for which ACGME accreditation is not available or no ABMS Board Certification is available. Applications for both initial and continuation of non-standard programs are available.

Initial Application (Non-Standard)
To be submitted for physicians who are not currently sponsored by ECFMG.
Continuation (Non-Standard)
To be submitted for physicians who are already being sponsored by ECFMG.

ABMS Board Applications
To be submitted for physicians who are scheduled to sit for an ABMS member-board examination.

Research Scholar
To be submitted for physicians who will be undertaking non-clinical, research programs that have no or incidental patient contact. Applications for both initial and continuation of research scholar programs are available.

Initial Application (Research Scholar)
To be submitted for physicians who are not currently sponsored by ECFMG.
Continuation (Research Scholar)
To be submitted for physicians who are already being sponsored by ECFMG.
