Sponsoring physicians on J-1 Exchange Visitor visas and ensuring that Exchange Visitors and their host institutions meet the federal requirements for participation in the Exchange Visitor Program
ECFMG Certificate Holders Office (ECHO)
Providing support and service to ECFMG-certified physicians as they plan their medical careers
Electronic Portfolio of International Credentials (EPICSM)
Providing individual physicians with an on-line tool for building a career portfolio of their primary-source verified medical credentials, and for demonstrating the authenticity of those credentials to the entities that register/license, educate, and employ them. Providing medical regulatory authorities, hospitals, and other organizations with access to verification reports on medical credentials requested by individual physicians.
ECFMG International Credentials Services
Serving international regulatory authorities by obtaining primary-source verification of credentials of physicians educated or trained outside of their jurisdictions
Provision of USMLE Performance Data
Providing eligible international medical schools with data on the performance of their students and graduates who apply to ECFMG for USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 2 CS

You may also be able to connect with other IMGs who are in or have completed U.S. GME programs through ECHO’s IMG Advisors Network (IAN). To be eligible for this free service, you must have applied to ECFMG for initial J-1 visa sponsorship or be a participant in ERAS 2013 who is also registered with the NRMP for the 2013 Match.
