Information for Medical Residents and Licensed Physicians Affected by Hurricane Katrina

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, a number of organizations are working to establish plans and procedures for medical residents and licensed physicians who have been impacted by Hurricane Katrina or who wish to volunteer their services. If you are a medical resident, fellow, or licensed physician who has been displaced by Hurricane Katrina, or a licensed physician who would like to volunteer in an area affected by the storm, please refer to the following websites for important information.

ECFMG's Exchange Visitor Sponsorship Program will be communicating directly with J-1 physicians and Training Program Liaisons (TPLs) at training institutions in affected areas to provide information specific to foreign national physicians in training programs who are sponsored by ECFMG for the J-1 visa.
